This is an original 1930 halftone print of a home of Litchfield, Virginia, built in 1818. The home models after Thomas Jefferson's estate, "Monticello," and was built with a portico, and red brick. The home is flanked by ivy, as well as oak, walnut, maple, and spruce trees. The bottom image shows a serpentine wall enclosing a garden. Photography by Harris & Ewing.
