This is an original 1930 black and white halftone print of Leithend, Iceland, where some believe legendary hero Gunnar Hamundarson lived. Gunnar is a central character of the Story of the Burnt Njall. In the story, there is a feud between Gunnar and Njall and Gunnar is killed. In the end, some years later, Njall is killed when he is burned alive in his home.
