This is an original 1930 black and white halftone print of the memorial of the Expulsion of the Acadians from Grand Pré, Nova Scotia, Canada. This occurred in 1755 when the British forced the French (Acadian) settlers to leave their homes, lands, and possessions behind and relocate to the British colonies in the south.
