1934 Print Split Bamboo Framework Native Javanese Bilik Building XGT4

These are two original 1934 halftone prints of how bamboo framework is used in Javanese buildings. Most native buildings are built entirely of bamboo, even the framework. The second print is an example of elaborate bilik building. Notice the effective woven pattern of the split bamboo.
