This is an original 1934 photogravure with images of the Reichstag in flames; a Republican mob in Spain; revolutionary students in S‹o Paulo, Brazil; street violence in Rio de Janeiro; snipers in action in Pernambuco, Brazil; and strikers in Athens, Greece. (Please note that there is printing on the reverse.)

Period Paper has obtained a group of photogravures that were beautifully produced and inserted into the Chums Annual 1933-34, a British publication for boys. Few of these likely exist and perhaps none in this condition. Contrast is exceptional and clarity unsurpassed for commercial photogravure production.
