1935 Print Greek Bireme Ship Sail Eye Hellenistic Two Rows Oars Bow Crows XGP2

This is an original 1935 halftone print of a Greek bireme, so named because of the two-tiered rowing system it employed. Giant eyes were painted on the bow of the ship to guide it and protect it from danger.
