This is an original 1935 black and white halftone print of tombs on the lava fields of Labedin in the Danakil Desert of Ethiopia, Africa. There were more than sixty tombs in the region, and all but one pictured here were done in the traditional circular construction. It is unknown why this single tomb was built in a rectangular shape.
