This is an original 1938 black and white photogravure of an interesting piece by Venetian painter Vittore Carpaccio. It is a portrait of a young knight which done during the time of the Renaissance in Italy, yet Carpaccio was little affected by the natural, flowing paintings of his contemporaries, preferring a somewhat more conservative style.
