This is an original 1941 color print of an ancient mosaic discovered at Thmus, in the Delta. It depicts Alexandria, represented as a ruler of the seas. Her crown is made up of ships, she's wearing a military cloak and holding an aphlaston. Now in the Museum of Alexandria, Egypt, this classical piece was signed by Sophilus and features an intricate interlocking border.
