This is an original 1941 duotone photogravure of a fountain in the Place de la Concorde which is located in Paris, France. This public square is the largest in this city and was designed in 1755. It is situated at the east end of the famous street names the Champs-Élysées.

This 70+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Light aging throughout. No creases. Minor print defect - center. No surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note: There is printing on the verso. Please also note that the print defect extends into the top and bottom margins. It looks like very light and thin gray vertical lines.

Geyer, Harold C.

Harold C. Geyer (1905 - ?) was born in Cold Springs, New York, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Yale University in in 1930. A few years later, he traveled to France in order to study medieval architecture and created many illustrations of the places he found and came to love in that country.
