Many believe that the area around Paris has been settled since around 4200 BC with a permanent settlement begun by the Romans when they conquered the area in 52 BC.

Geyer, Harold C.

Harold C. Geyer (1905 - ?) was born in Cold Springs, New York, and received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Yale University in in 1930. A few years later, he traveled to France in order to study medieval architecture and created many illustrations of the places he found and came to love in that country.
