This is an original 1941 halftone print of a native woman of Colombia wearing a regional costume consisting of a long brilliant skirt with a ruffle, a plain poncho, and a saucer-shaped brimmed hat.

Period Paper is pleased to offer a collection of halftone prints and color lithographs of traditional Latin American costumes and national dress by the artist, Jolanda Barta. Printed on a special heavy paper stock, the images include a short descriptive caption by Dorothy Gladys Spicer. Please note that the lithographs are hand-produced by the artist.
