This is an original 1941 black and white halftone print that depicts three representations of Greek life on stage.

1. Scene from a new comedy: A young man arrives home, intoxicated, while a flutist plays before him and his slave supports his weight. Waiting for him is his father, who is furious and would give him a sharp whack of his cane were it not for his friend holding him back. 2. Two figures from either an old or new comedy: Clearly drunk, they stumble around leaning on each other for much needed support. 3. Actor from new comedy: He has long, curly hair and wears the typical clothing for his professions.
