This is an original 1942 color print of the harbor of Sitka, Alaska. The caption writes, "Salmon is Alaska's greatest resource, but the big canneries, like the big mines, are owned by outsiders who take their profits with them. Here fishing boats crowd into Sitka's harbor." Sitka was originally known as New Archangel, and is currently the fourth-largest city in Alaska.
