1944 Print Newport Rhode Island Army Military Patrol WWII Oliver Baker AAF1
A native of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, Corporal Oliver Baker came to the United States, where he received his art education from the Pratt Institute, the Art Students League. Thereafter, Baker studied in Paris. Later, he became assistant to the Treasury Relief Art Project. He, then, was commissioned by the Federal Arts Project to complete a mural for the McRae, Georgia Post Office. He was later transferred to Camp Campbell in Kentucky.
