This is an original 1944 World War II halftone print of "Street, Mers El Kebir, North Africa."

Private Anthony Vaiksnoras received his art education at the Cleveland School of Art. His paintings were exhibited at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the Butler Art Institute in Youngstown, Ohio and the Carnegie Museum National Show in 1940. Sometime later, Vaiksnoras enlisted in the U. S. Army, where he aided in Army Map Services.
