This is an original 1944 World War II halftone print of "Morning of July 10, 1943, Off The Sicilian Coast."

Alexander Russo received much of his art education at the Pratt Institute. His works were exhibited at the Illustrations Club in New York City. Prior to enlisting in the United States Navy, Russo served as assistant Production Manager for the Popular Science Magazine.
