This is an original 1945 black and white halftone print of the Shrine of the Remedios in Mexico, which was originally erected on the site of an ancient lookout.

Fritz Henle

Fritz Henle (1909-1993) was a German photographer hailing from Dortmund, Germany. He was notably referred to as the Òlast classic freelance photographer,Ó as well as ÒMr. RolleiÓ for his consistent use of his Rolleiflex camera. Henle was known for his work in Europe, Mexico, the Caribbean, Japan, China, India, Hawaii, Italy, and the United States. His photography was primarily composed of images of fashion, travel, portraits, and industrial subjects. HenleÕs works were featured in the noteworthy magazines of LIFE, HarperÕs Bazaar and Mademoiselle.
