This is an original 1945 color with silver ink print of the ruins of Pompeii. Shown is the entrance to the gallery of the Pompeiian Amphitheater. Please note that the border on the left hand side is actually a metallic silver ink which shimmers at certain angles, because of this, it does photograph well. Also please see additional images and note that the explanatory paragraph will be included in the listing.

"Conad History" (Continental Advance) was created to preserve the history of the United States Army supply forces, and to provide a basis for future studies by the United States War Department. The book covered the continental advance, communications zones, the European theater of operations, and the United States Army during 1944 and 1945. The Conad staff began in Africa and traveled to central Europe where they finished.
