This is an original 1950 color print of a political cartoon by Zdizslaw Czermanski (1896-1970) entitled "Boys will be boys", that humorously portrays American businessman Stuart Symington, economist Leon Keyserling, banker Marriner Stoddard Eccles, and other prominent figures of the time, as children throwing snowballs at a figure representing American Industry while Harry S. Truman (1884-1972), the 33rd President of the United States of America, can be seen dressed as a policeman in the background.

Zdzislaw Czermanski

Zdzislaw Czermanski was born in Krakow, Poland, and traveled to both France and Brazil before living in the United States. He is known for his caricatures and satirical pieces. Czermanski worked with a combination of watercolor, tempera, graphite, and colored pencil. Czermanski was well received in the United States and was often published in Fortune Magazine.
