This is an original 1952 black and white collotype of a chenille brocade textile with "Pagan Paradise" design. The cloth in this print was originally created in Portugal or the region of Andalusia, Spain, around the year 1700. A brocade is a type of richly decorated shuttle-woven fabric and is usually made of colored silks.
