This is an original 1952 black and white rotogravure of the city of Le Puy, France that is situated along the Loire River. The Chapel of Saint Michel d'Aiguilhe can be seen precariously perched atop a volcanic rock formation. Two hundred and sixty-eight steps carved into the rock allow pilgrims to reach the chapels entrance. It would suck to be the mailman for that place.
