1956 Ad Braniff Airways El Dorado Douglas DC-7C Routes - ORIGINAL SEP4

This is an original 1956 black and white print ad for Braniff International Airways. The company, founded in 1928, by Thomas E. and Paul Revere Braniff, functioned mainly within the United States during its operation, and was the first airplane to fly from Chicago to the Mexico border in 1935. In its later years the commercial company flew from the United States to South America regions and later to Asia and Europe. Today, the company is owned by American Airlines, which was a result of Braniff Airline being forced to shut down due to escalating fuel prices and intense competition among other airlines that was a consequence of the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978.

This 55+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. Light aging throughout. No creases. No natural defects. Light surface rub - right side. No tears. No water damage. There is a small white dot (blemish) in the center of the image in this ad, it is visible in the digital copy. There is also some mild to moderate bleed through along the right side of ad. There is also some light blue bleed through around the margins of ad.
