This is an original 1849 black and white copper engraving of the Jews place of wailing. The wall is located north of "Barclay's Gate," and became a place where Jews could sit in sorrowful meditation. We are assuming that the artist of this image is W. H. Bartlett, and the engraver, J. Archer.
