This is an original 1928 black on cream stock photolithograph of a drawing by Vernon Howe Bailey of the Heckscher Building on Fifth Avenue at Fifty-seventh Street in New York City. Now known as the Crown Building, it was designed by the architectural firm of Warren & Wetmore and completed in 1921.

This uniquely twentieth century architectural form is brilliantly captured in this superb collection of prints drawn by architectural illustrator, Vernon Howe Bailey (1874-1953). Each of these original large format photolithographs were created on classic laid cream stock and are ready for framing.

Vernon Howe Bailey

Vernon Howe Bailey (1874-1953) was an American artist who studied at the Pennsylvania Museum School of Art, the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts, the Royal College of Art in London, and the Academie de l'ecluse in Paris. He first became an art student at the age of 15. Bailey often worked with pencil and watercolor, and his artwork usually depicted landscapes, buildings and streets.
