This is an original 1874 black and white in-text wood engraving of a sketch by Samuel Edmund Waller (1850-1903) that depicts the winter encampment of a group of Laplanders, (also Sámi people, Lapps), on the frozen waters of the Neva River at Saint Petersburg, Russia during the Victorian era.
