1889 Wood Engraving Sepulchral Chamber Gokstad Ship Warrior Religious XGYA7

This is an original 1889 black and white in-text wood engraving of a "Sepulchral Chamber, Gokstad Ship." The Roof of the structure had been broken through by the weight of the earth of the mound above it. The large cut in the side was probably made by thieves wishing to get possession of the weapons, etc. Also shown is the bedstead, upon which the dead warrior had been placed, found in the sepulchral chamber in the Gokstad ship.
