This is an original 1890 one-page print article about the Chimney of the Halsbrucke Foundry, near Frieberg, Saxony, Germany. This was erected in connection with the imperial foundry of Halsbrucke, and was also intended to disperse the deleterious gases that would otherwise be destructive to the neighborhood. The height of this structure was 452.6 feet, and its interior diameter 15.74 feet. It was designed by the engineer Herr Huppner, and is situated on the right bank of the Mulde, at an elevation of 219 feet above that of the foundry works.
