This is an original 1906 black and white photolithograph of a fragment of an ancient Egyptian inscription found at Merneptah's tomb in the Karnak Temple Complex. Merneptah ruled Egypt for ten years from 1213 to 1203 BC, and was the thirteenth son of Ramesses II. Shown in the image is the inscription of lines 36 to 40.
