This is an original 1921 steel engraving of a painting by Carlo Sensi of an arrest by uniformed army officers under the Consulate, the government of France between the fall of the Directory in 1799 until the start of the Napoleonic Empire in 1804.
CONDITION
This 90+ year old Item is rated Near Mint / Very Fine. No natural defects. No surface rub. 1/2 inch tear - bottom center. No water damage. The center crease is original. There is printing on the reverse. Please note that there are some letterset impressions from the verso throughout which is common to this era's printing and production style. Due to its large size, this item will be shipped folded along the original crease.
