This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure showing the destruction by fires in Cork (Dec. 11, 1920) and Dublin (May 24, 1921), Ireland during the Irish War of Independence. The top image shows the ruins of Patrick Street in Cork and in the bottom image, the Custom House in Dublin, where the fire department is seen arriving in a horse carriage.
