This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of Saint Basil's Cathedral, located on the Red Square in Moscow, Russia. The cathedral was built the late 1550s, and is known for its bright colors and onion domes. The caption writes, "It is a conglomeration of many styles and carries with it a strong suggestion of Mohammedan influences. It was erected in 1554. In general characteristics it accords with most of the historic buildings comprised in the Kremlin, the acropolis of Moscow, famed all over the world."
