This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of the German commerce submarine The Deutschland arriving in Baltimore, Maryland on July 9, 1916. The caption writes, "[...] The Deutschland, which crossed the Atlantic in sixteen days, passing through the North Sea and English Channel under the keels of British warships. At upper left is shown Captain Paul Koenig, her commander."
