This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a Norwegian church in Hitterdal (Heddal); a portrait of Haakon VII, the King of Norway from 1905-1957; Gustaf V of Sweden, who served from 1907 to 1950; and a Swedish inn in the province of Bleking. The Heddal church is the largest stave church in Norway, and was built in the early 13th century. Legend has it that the church was built in three days, with the help of the troll, Finn, after Raud, a farmer, guessed his name.
