This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of British troops resting in a battlefield during World War I. The bottom image shows German soldiers at a farmstead around Pont-a-Mousson. The caption writes, "German soldiers in the lee of a farmstead on the western front in the vicinity of Pont-a-Mousson, where some of the fiercest fighting of the war took place. The men have broken ranks and are enjoying refreshments."
