This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure showing the leveling of German fortifications after World War I. The top image shows the cutting of a 28 cm gun near the Kiel Canal (Kaiser-Wilhelm-Kanal) in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany (Deutschland). The bottom image shows men breaking up steel turrets.
