"A "Built In" Schoolhouse" This is an original 1928 color print of the small schoolroom Mrs. Martha Washington would school her and George's grandchildren when they came to visit. This structure is one of many out buildings that surround the manor at Mount Vernon, where George Washington lived most of his life, and died in 1799.
