This is an original 1928 two-page two-color heliogravure set (comprising a black ink heliogravure base with a color lithograph plate on top on two single-sided pages) of an illustration and an early sketch of the illustration by the French artist and illustrator, Charles Martin (1884-1934) for the book Lettres Persanes by Montesquieu (Jean Terquem, 1926). Please see both images and note the deckle edge on the top and right margins.
