This is an original 1929 two-color heliogravure (comprising a black ink heliogravure base with a single color lithograph plate on top) of an illustration by the French painter and illustrator, André Dignimont (1891-1965) for the book Le Chant de l'Équipage by Pierre Mac Orlan (Les Arts et le Livre, 1926). Please note the deckle edge on the top and left margins.
