Jean Clouet

Jean Clouet (1480-1541) was a French Renaissance artist, often known as Janet, who was the father of François Clouet and held the title of Groom of the Chamber during the reign of King Franಟois I. He is considered to have been a skilled painter and miniaturist, however no work of art has been definitively proven as his. A portrait of Guillame Budé was directly linked to him, however only the preliminary sketches were found.
