This is an original 1941 black and white halftone print of Polybius, a Greek historian from the Hellenistic Period. He was among the first historians to use factual integrity in his writing, and was convinced that historians should only record events from which they could interview eyewitnesses. This particular stele was found at Cleitor in Arcadia.
