This is an original 1953 color print of a variety of home furnishings, figurines, clothing accessories and more native to Belgium, Holland and the Netherlands. The originals for numbers 1, 4, and 7-12 were held in the Museum for German Ethnology in Berlin, while the originals for numbers 2, 3, 5, 6, and 13-15 were held in the Folkloristic Museum in Antwerp. 1. 18th century Silk ambroidered hook-on handbag with metal frame, native to Hindeloopen, Friesland, Holland. 2., 5., 14., and 15. 19th century painted wooden shoes (No. 14 likely ornamental), native to Antwerp, Belgium. 3., 6., and 13. 19th century small animal figures of colored straw, native to Spa, Belgium. 4. 18th century painted wooden plate, native to Hindeloopen. 7. 1737 wooden frame base on which to raise furniture in case of floods, native to Hindeloopen. 8. and 11. 18th century wooden box containers used by children for their writing instruments, native to Hindeloopen. 9. 18th century section of the underside of a drop leaf table, native to Hindeloopen. 12. 18th century painted service tray, native to Hindeloopen. 16. 18th century painted wall box, native to Hindeloopen.
