This is an original 1953 color print of antique German household furnishings and kitchenware. The originals of numbers 1, 5-11 and 15 were held in the Museum for Arts and Crafts in Hamburg, Germany, while the originals of numbers 2-4 were held in the State Museum (Castle Museum) in Karlsruhe, Baden. The originals of numbers 12-14 were held in the Folkloristic Museum in Antwerp, Belgium. 1. Early 16th century beer mug with pewter lid, native to Grenzhausen, Germany. 2.-4. and 12.-14. 17th-19th century earthen vessels native to the Rhenish Republic. 5. 1694 glazed earthenware platter, native to Altes Land, Hanover, Germany. 6. 18th century glazed earthenware bowl, native to Winsener, Marsh, Germany. 7. Like No. 6, native to Lübeck, Germany. 8. Like 5, dated 1750, native to Schaephuysen near Krefeld, Germany. 10. 1723 large earthenware platter, native to Bremervörde, Germany. 11. and 15. 17th century earthenware jugs with pewter lids (No. 15 dated 1696), native to the Lower Rhine region of Germany.
