1953 Print Belgium Holland Netherlands Antique Shoes Housewares Home Decor XDE3

This is an original 1953 black and white halftone print of antique 18th and 19th century furniture, housewares, shoes and home decor hailing from Belgium and Holland. The originals of numbers 1, 3-5, 8, 10, 13, 18, 19, 21 and 23 were held in the Folkloristic Museum in Antwerp, while the original for number 2 was held in the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. The originals for numbers 6, 7, 9, 11, 12, 14, 17, 20, and 22 were held in the Museum for German Ethnology in Berlin. Finally, the originals for numbers 15 and 16 were held in the Musée du Cinquantenaire in Brussels. 1. 19th century brass over word sign board, which originally belonged to a gypsy knife sharpener who carried it on his cart. This piece was native to Belgium. 2. 19th century oak wood chest, native to Holland. 3. 19th century Flemish flat iron, native to Belgium. 4. and 18. Flemish laundry boards. No. 4 was dated 1731, while No. 16 was dated 1851. These pieces were native to Belgium. 5. and 8. 19th century Flemish brass curry-combs, native to Belgium. 6. Unpainted wooden shoe, native to Holland. 7. 1722 laundry board, native to Hindeloopen, Holland. 9. 18th century filigree ring, native to Hindeloopen. 10. Circa 1800 Flemish splinter container. 11. 1781 measuring rod handle, native to Hindeloopen. 12. and 17. 18th century warming pans with brass lids, native to Hindeloopen. 13. Circa 1800 Flemish iron plate sign board for an inn, native to Belgium. 14. 18th century spoon board, native to Hindeloopen. 15. and 16. 19th century wrought iron small votive figures, native to Everberg, Belgium. 19. and 23. Like No. 12, but of Flemish origin. 20. 18th century brass warming pan, native to Hindeloopen. 21. 1830 Flemish iron with copper inlay ash removal scraper. 22. Like No. 20, but carved in wood.
