This is an original 1922 sepia rotogravure of a German airship, the Zeppelin L-49, lying in a field in Bourbon Ne-Les-Bains, France (Republique Française) after being captured by the Triple Entente. The lower image shows the destruction of a zeppelin in the village of Mangold, England. The caption for the image writes, "Ruins of one of the two zeppelins brought down in the little village of Mangold, England, on the night of September 23, 1916. It came down in flames and commander and crew perished."
