This is an original 1967 halftone print of "Billy Rene" by John Riddle.

In 1990, John Riddle was the first "Official Artist" for Absolut Vodka, as well as for the Montreux Atlanta International Music Festival. His works have been exhibited at the musee de Montreux in Switzerland, the National Jazz Museum in Harlem, New York, the Longview Museum of Fine Arts in Longview, Texas, the Philadelphia African American Museum, the African American Museum in Dallas, Texas, the Harriet Tubman Museum in Macon, Georgia, the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia, the Museum of Contemporary Art in Georgia, the Charles H. Wright Museum of African American History in Detroit, Michigan, among others. Sometime later Riddle served as curator for the California African American Museum in Los Angeles.
