1905 Halftone Print Lillebonne Cityscape Chateau Roman Theater Ruins Castle View

This is an original 1905 black and white halftone print which highlights sights from the Seine-Maritime commune of Lillebonne in northern France. The top panel offers an aerial view of the picturesque town, while the two lower panels both feature places particular to the city. The middle image is of the ancient Gallo-Roman amphitheater (which dates back to the first century), and the lower one depicts the modern château and ancient castle tower (which was built by William the Conqueror) that the area is also known for.
