This is an original 1900 halftone print of the nave in the University Church of St. Mary the Virgin in Oxford, England. It was the location of 1555 trial of the Oxford Martyrs, who were burnt at the stake in what is now Broad Street. The pillar that heretic Archbishop Thomas Cranmer was supposedly chained to before his burning is second on the left in this image.
