This is an original 1876 black and white wood engraving of four people enjoying a game of Comet in their drawing room. It is thought that the game originated around 1759, around the time that Haley's Comet passed. It was played using two decks, with the nines are wild cards.

This 135+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Light aging throughout. No creases. No natural defects. No surface rub. No tears. No water damage. Please note that there is print on the verso, and the white mark in the upper left quadrant is the result of something sticking to the item and subsequently removing some of the image.
