This is an original 1874 black and white double-page wood engraving of illustrations by William John Hennessy (1839-1917) that depict scenes of horse-drawn sleigh rides through the New England countryside in winter, snow sledding, and men and women doing the Virginia reel folk dance at a Christmas holiday celebration during the Victorian era.
This 139+ year old Item is rated Very Fine +++. Light aging throughout. Small crease - top margin. There is light bleedthrough on this piece from the verso. Please note: There is printing on the verso. There is an original center crease.
